Brand protection

Protect your brand and customers from online impersonation.

We help you find and respond to fake websites, impersonating accounts, scam promotions and suspected counterfeit listings. We investigate the evidence, manage reports to the relevant providers and check what action has been taken.

01 · The problem

Scammers don't need your passwords.

Scammers can misuse your name, logo, products or identity without ever touching your own systems. Brand protection focuses on that outside activity. We establish your legitimate online presence, monitor the agreed channels and investigate findings that could mislead your customers or infringe your rights.

When a case is supported by evidence, we prepare the relevant reports and pursue the organisations able to act: a hosting provider, platform, domain provider, marketplace, advertising service or payment provider, depending on the case. Each provider makes its own decision under its own policies.

02 · What we investigate

The ways your name gets misused.

Coverage matches the channels agreed for your engagement.

Types of brand abuse we investigate
ThreatWhat we investigateWhy it matters
Fake websites and storesPages copying your identity or claiming a false relationship with your business.Identifies deceptive storefronts and supports content, domain or platform reports.
Phishing and fake giveawaysPages or messages impersonating you to collect passwords, personal details, card details or money.Reduces your customers' exposure to campaigns that exploit their trust in you.
Counterfeit listingsSpecific product offers suspected of selling fake goods under your protected brand.Gives you a supported basis to pursue infringing listings and repeat sellers.
Social and executive impersonationAccounts, posts and messages posing as your business or an agreed named representative.Addresses false customer support, fake promotions and fraudulent endorsements.
Scam advertisementsAds misleading people about affiliation, products, promotions or endorsements.Interrupts a route that sends victims towards the scam.
Copyright misuseSpecific images, videos, artwork, text or other works used without the necessary rights.Uses the appropriate rights-based process once the owner and the work are established.
Lookalike domainsMisspelt and deceptive domains, assessed together with how they are actually used.Identifies domains used for phishing or impersonation, or that may justify a domain dispute.
Fake appsImpersonating app listings, where monitoring and reporting access are within scope.Supports an app store review when the evidence shows impersonation or a rights complaint.
Crypto impersonationFake token promotions, websites, social accounts and ads that misuse your brand or a person's identity, where agreed.Reports the specific assets to services with an abuse process. We don't promise to reverse transactions or freeze wallets.

Similar names, low prices or an unfamiliar seller are signals to investigate, not proof. Genuine resale, commentary, criticism and fair use are not abuse, and we don't use rights reports to control lawful resale or pricing.

03 · How it works

Five stages, every case.

It starts with your written authority: who owns the rights, who may approve reports and which brands, territories and channels are in scope.

  1. 1

    Understand your brand

We record your assets, official accounts and legitimate uses as the reference for protection.

  2. 2

    Find suspected abuse

We monitor the agreed channels and review concerns reported by your team.

  3. 3

    Investigate and document

We check the activity, preserve the evidence and identify the providers involved.

  4. 4

    Pursue appropriate action

We submit supported reports, answer evidence requests and manage follow-up.

  5. 5

    Verify and keep watching

We check the outcome and keep watching for restored or replacement activity.

Each case is reviewed before reports are submitted. Disputed rights and legal declarations go to a qualified adviser.

04 · Where we request action

The routes we can report through.

Different organisations control different parts of a scam, so one case can involve several routes. Each has its own evidence requirements and decision process, and each provider decides the outcome.

Reporting routes and what can be requested
RouteWhat can be requestedHow we use it
Host or store platformReview of offending hosted content or store pages. We report supported cases to the host or platform controlling the content.
Domain registrar or registryAction on well-evidenced phishing and other covered domain abuse. We pursue the domain abuse route where the conduct and evidence meet its requirements.
Infrastructure providerAction appropriate to the service actually involved, which may not be hosting. We identify the provider's role and use its relevant process.
Payment providerReview of whether a merchant may keep using its payment services. We submit supported cases; the provider decides its response.
Advertising and social platformsReview of deceptive ads, impersonating accounts and other prohibited content. We pursue the accounts and promotions sending people towards the abuse.
MarketplaceRemoval of infringing listings and possible restrictions on repeat sellers. We report specific listings with the appropriate rights and evidence.
Browser protection servicesReview of phishing reports and possible dangerous-site warnings. We report qualifying phishing to services that can warn people before they visit.
Messaging providerReview of fraudulent messages and policy violations.Where attributable, we report abusive messages to the service carrying them.

Formal domain disputes, court action and referrals to law enforcement need their own assessment and your authority. We don't provide legal advice.

05 · What you receive

See exactly what changed.

Clear case records, managed provider reports and understandable updates on confirmed actions and unresolved issues. We check the exact page, listing, ad, account or domain after each decision, because an error message doesn't prove removal and a stopped ad doesn't mean the site behind it is gone.

Outcomes we record separately

  • Content removed
  • Domain suspended
  • Listing removed
  • Ad stopped
  • Payment action confirmed by the provider
  • Warning added
  • Partial action
  • Not yet verified

06 · Questions

Brand protection questions.

What is online brand protection?

A process for finding, investigating and responding to online activity that impersonates your brand, misleads your customers or infringes your rights. It includes gathering evidence, reporting to the right providers and checking the result.

What can you help us report?

Depending on the agreed scope and the evidence, cases can include fake websites, phishing pages, impersonating social accounts, scam ads, counterfeit listings and misuse of protected content.

Will a fake website definitely be taken down?

No one can promise that. The provider or platform makes its own enforcement decision. We manage the case and report the confirmed outcome and any remaining exposure.

Why contact more than one provider?

A scam may depend on a domain, a website, an ad, a social account and a payment service. Different organisations control each of those, so several reporting routes can apply to the same case.

Do payment restrictions mean the website is gone?

No. A payment provider can decide whether to keep serving a merchant, but it can't take the website down. We report payment action separately from content removal.

Will you report every seller using our brand name?

No. We look at the actual conduct and the relevant rights or policy. Genuine resale or a lawful reference to your products isn't counterfeiting just because the seller is unfamiliar.

What do you need from us?

Your official brand references, a named contact, relevant rights information and written authority to act. A list of your legitimate accounts and partners helps us tell real activity from impersonation.

Who decides what gets reported?

Each case is reviewed before reports are submitted. Uncertain findings, disputed rights and legal declarations get further review, and nothing is reported in your name without your authority.

How quickly will action happen?

It depends on the evidence, the type of case and the provider's own process. We prioritise active harm to your customers and keep you updated on the stage reached. Any response commitments are set out in your agreement.

What happens if the abuse comes back?

Within the agreed scope, we watch for restored or replacement pages, domains and accounts. We assess new findings, keep the case history and pursue fresh action when it's justified.
